Hello,
I’m Isla.
I fell into wedding photography at my sister’s wedding in 2014, when the booked photographer missed the first kiss. I have been making sure that never happens to anyone else ever since.
I am based in Harrogate and photograph around twenty weddings a year, mostly in Yorkshire, the Lakes and the Highlands, with a few elopements abroad. I am quiet on the day, a bit of a planner beforehand, and I will cry at your speeches.

Behind the camera
Small kit,
big care
Two quiet mirrorless cameras, a handful of fast prime lenses and no flash during ceremonies. Every image is edited by me, by hand, in a natural style that will still look right in thirty years.
Good to know
- Do you travel?
- Yes. Anywhere in the UK, and Europe for elopements and destination weddings. Travel within 50 miles of Harrogate is included.
- How many weddings do you photograph a year?
- No more than twenty-five, so every couple gets my full attention and their gallery on time.
- Will you direct us?
- Gently. Most of the day I document what happens. For portraits I give you simple prompts so you never feel posed.
- Do you have insurance and backup kit?
- Full public liability insurance, two camera bodies recording to dual cards, and a backup photographer network.
