The studio

Two doors down from Nan’s stall

Lily Okafor grew up above her grandmother’s market stall on Columbia Road. In 2015 she opened the studio two doors down, and it has smelt of stocks and eucalyptus ever since.

How we work

  1. 01

    British first

From April to October most of our flowers come from growers in Kent, Cornwall and Lincolnshire. In winter we buy from a Dutch auction we trust.

  2. 02

    No floral foam

Every arrangement uses chicken wire, moss and vases we take back. Foam is plastic, and it never breaks down.

  3. 03

    Compost, not bin

Stems, leaves and wedding leftovers go to a community garden in Haggerston every week.
